Scary Words

I have been smoking cigarettes for some time now. And I've been looking for a valid reason to stop.I tried the whole new years resolution thing but I figure I got a full 365 days to quit. I see the commercials about rat-poison. Hasnt scared me..I know it may cause lung cancer.. Still aint scared.. It may cause erectile discomfort I heard..Aint scared me but maybe caused a lil concern. Well I think I found my wake up call through an unlikely source. Here is how it went..
I was walking to the neighborhood store today and I came upon one of my childhood friends I havent seen in years.He looked terrible to say the least. So we go through the motions of "Whats up?..You still live here..blah blah blah" So as I was entering the store , I noticed he follows me through the aisle still talking to me . I sensed this so I walked around the store about 6/7 times on purpose. And to my surprise he stayed on my heels. So I get to the register, pull out 4 dollars but put one back in my pocket because it cost me 3 dollars. He says "hey you gotta a dolla?". I'm like yeah since you watchin. So we walk outside and I pull out my Kool cigarette box. He says "what kind are those?" I showed him the box. He said "Those are real good mane. Shit, thats how I got started with them Kools mane."....... I looked at him , looked at my box of cigarettes , looked down..then thought to myself OH HELL NAW!!!!....and threw them in the trash....I havent smoked one since...of course that was earlier in the day so dont clap,weep, or send uplifting messages just yet.....
